Russians ready to petition against pension reform

The majority of Russians (67%) are ready to sign a petition against raising the retirement age, according to a survey by Rambler Analytics.

Survey takers were asked how they would respond if the Russian government decided not to raise the retirement age. Sixty-seven percent replied that they feel strong about the issue and would sign a petition to stop the raise from happening. However, 28% of respondents said they are against the pension reform but would not sign a petition.

Only 3% of Russians approve of the pension reform. They believe that the reform will help with the recovery of the Russian economy. Another 2% refrained from discussing the matter.

The survey was conducted among over 15,000 people.
