Russians to lose part of their income due to quarantine

Russians’ real disposable income will fall by 5% due to the quarantine, economists from the Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA) say.

According to ACRA experts, the unemployment and the falling ruble will affect Russians’ incomes, RBC news agency writes.

Disposable income is the amount of money that households have available for spending and saving after income taxes have been accounted for.

Until 2018, Russians’ disposable income had been gradually reducing. For instance, in 2016, in fell by 4.5%. In 2018 and 2019 it showed a minimal growth.

According to experts, disposable income will reduce by 5 % this year. The economic recession will affect people’s salaries. Food prices are also expected to rise.
