Russians will pay more for international trips

International travel has become more expensive for Russians due to the weakening of the ruble, the country’s Association of Tour Operators warned.

The exchange rates used for calculating the cost of international flights will be changed on February 5. The euro will rise to RUB 71 from RUR 69, the rate previously used to set the price of air tickets. This means the prices of international flights will grow by at least 3%, Lenta.ru writes.

Earlier reports said the average price for economy class air travel rose by a quarter last fall compared to the beginning of 2019.
