Russia’s largest logistics hub to be built in Togliatti

With participation of an iron and steel works in Magnitogorsk (Chelyabinsk Region), a modern production and logistics hub will be built in Togliatti, the car-production capital of the Samara Region. It will be the first facility of this scale in Russia.

Storage facilities with a designed capacity of over 150K tons will cover an area of over 30K sq. m.

It is expected that the warehouses will be used to store rolled metal that will subsequently be distributed between Russian car plants – at least 500K tons per year.

The iron and steel works plans to invest substantial funding in the construction project – some RUR 1.3 bln ($16.9 mio). Currently, the project is awaiting approval by the Togliatti special economic zone.
