An advanced dairy and meat production farm will be laucnhed in the village of Razdolnoye in Sakhalin’s Korsakov county, with the cpacaity of over 7K tons of milk and 200K tons of meat per year.
The project is being implemenetd by the Korsakovsky state farm, which has already received regiulatiors’ permission to launch the new enterprise. The new production will be created by joint efforts of Russia and Belarus. The investments in the construction work have already exceeded RUR 2 bln ($29.6 mio). The finances came from the regional budget as the enterprise shareholder fee. The work has already resulted in constructing main production buildings and facilities, as well as manure processing and other infrastructure facilities.
“Such agricultural enterprise is essential for the region which is geographically remote”, agricultural and food market expert Natalia Chizh says. “The farm will partially satisfy the island’s demand for milk and even meat”.
