Sberbank increases income from corporate and investment business

Sberbank’s operating income from its corporate and investment business in Q1 2019 was 11% higher than income recorded in the same period last year, the official web page reported.

Sberbank’s Corporate and Investment Block currently serves more than 2,317,000 active corporate clients. In Q1, the bank added 171,000 new corporate clients.

“We are pleased with our results for the quarter, but our work doesn’t stop here. We will continue to actively grow our client base whilst developing new services, including digital ones. We also have to achieve faster time-to-market,” Stanislav Kartashov, Vice President and Director of the 360 Corporate Clients Division of Sberbank’s Corporate and Investment Business.

In Q1, the My Business service for self-employed people was launched. It allows people to register as self-employed and offers additional business development services (CRM, lawyer, etc.) The Sberbank launched the option of registering businesses and opening accounts online via a partner’s channel. Eightfold growth of the number of remote business registrations (3,500) and account openings (2,500) was recorded.

Also in Q1, the Courier service for small businesses was launched in 10 Russian regions. The Business Travel service for booking hotels and buying tickets was launched in Sberbank Business Online, and the Online Cash Transit Management service were launched on the bank’s website.
