Two-day international conference Startup Village 2019 devoted to the startup community development took place at the Skolkovo Innovation Center nearby Moscow.
For the seventh time this annual event was a platform for a business dialogue between investors and startups including Russian innovation suppliers and large customers from abroad.
As Viktor Vekselberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Skolkovo Foundation, noted, “This year the main topic of the Startup Village conference was The Dark Side of the Tech. The motto is a reminiscence of a song by Pink Floyd that many years ago tried to look within the context of culture, music and worldview at the other side of the Moon. I think the mankind has always been eager to find out what is concealed there. At Startup Village, everyone will discover something previously unknown.”
The Skolkovo Foundation and Orange Business Services Russia signed an agreement on launching a corporate accelerator at the Skolkovo Innovation Center to develop IT solutions jointly with technology startups and to implement them at the largest Russian and international client companies of Orange.
As Richard van Wageningen, Senior Vice President of Orange Business Services for the IMEAR region, pointed out, “The Skolkovo Foundation is Russia’s largest technology hub with a large expert community. We see great innovation potential in Russia. We will assist in the Russian startups developments implementation.”
