Stavropol Territory expands mineral water production

Rokadovskie Mineral Water has launched a new production line at a major mineral water bottling plant in the Mineralnye Vody Municipal District.

The capacity of the new line to bottle water into 0.5 liter plastic bottles will be 400K bottles per day. The project received RUR 2 bln ($31 mio) in investment.

The launch ceremony was attended by Stavropol Territory Governor Vladimir Vladimirov, Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Valery Popkov, Speaker of the regional Duma Gennady Yagubov and the plant’s director, Viktor Adamov.

“The Stavropol Territory’s mineral waters have been known since the Tsarist era and have always had a good reputation,” says Natalia Chizh, an agricultural and food market expert. “Considering the current healthy diet trends, this product will be popular and could compete with famous foreign brands such as Borjomi and Essentuki (the latter is also produced in the Stavropol Territory).
