
Maneuvering trials of the Marker innovative combat robot on caterpillar tracks successfully completed. Now engineers will test the robot’s shooting abilities, after which it will be ready to serve the Russian army.
The robot trials were conducted at a training field in Magnitogorsk where the machine demonstrated quite good results. The shooting tests will take place in late July, TASS reports. The robot will be mounted on two platforms, caterpillar tracks and wheels. A total of five robots are undergoing trials.
The Marker robot was developed by the Foundation for Advanced Research and Androidnaya Tekhnika known as the creator of the Fedor robot expected to go to space. Marker can operate in conjunction with drones and special operation forces. The machine will be equipped with Utyos heavy machine guns and will also carry anti-tank grenade launcher. The robot is around 120 cm tall.
