Wife of former Moscow Mayor Russia’s Richest Woman – Forbes

The wife of the ex-mayor of Moscow, Yury Luzhkov, Yelena Baturina, once again tops the Forbes list of Russia’s richest women.

The fortune of Yelena Baturina, founder and head of one of the largest development companies in Moscow, is estimated at about $1.2 bln. She has topped the Forbes ranking for seven years. The founder of online retailer Wildberries, Tatyana Bakalchuk, is in second place in the ranking with a fortune estimated at $1 bln. Her success is primarily due to the fast growth of online audience and the increasing popularity of e-commerce. Tatyana Kovalchuk, wife of billionaire Yury Kovalchuk – an oligarch reportedly close to Vladimir Putin – came in third with “a mere” $600 mio.

The ex-wife of billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, Yelena, with $600 mio and Olga Belyavtseva, co-owner of Progress baby food manufacturer, with $ 550 mio are also in the top five. Interestingly, the total capital of the 25 richest women in Russia is almost $9.9 bln, Forbes reports. The ranking also includes InfoWatch President Natalya Kasperskaya, daughter of Boris Yeltsin’s son-in-law Polina Yumasheva and tennis player Maria Sharapova.
