Yekaterinburg to receive ring road ahead of schedule

The construction of a ring road around Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Sverdlovsk Region, will be completed one year ahead of schedule.

This has become possible due to a meeting of the Russian Government, whose participants decided to allocate RUR 2 bln ($28 mio) for the construction of the road, which is part of the Safe Roads national project.

The construction of the final section of the Yekaterinburg ring road has started from scratch; the section is 11.5 km long and has six lanes (three in each direction).
