5G technology is not linked to coronavirus – scientist

There are no substantial proofs that 5G networks can cause the spread of the coronavirus, said Yevgeny Khorov from the Institute of Information Transmission Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, TASS news agency reports.

As Invest Foresight reported earlier, this conspiracy theory is quite popular in the West; in Britain, conspiracy theorists even began burning 5G towers. In Russia, there are also followers of this theory, including some celebrities.

It is noteworthy that they do not link the coronavirus with 5G, but claim that wireless communications, especially the fifth generation wireless technology, pose a threat in general. As for the coronavirus, they believe it simply does not exist and people get sick due to the millimeter wave spectrum used by 5G.

Yegveny Khorov emphasized that 5G, as well as Wi-Fi networks, are not harmful to humans. There are regulations regarding the maximum levels of electromagnetic radiation, so there is nothing to worry about.
