Russia is short of engineers, teachers and doctors

Most Russian employers said there is a shortage of engineers, teachers and doctors on the labor market in a joint survey by VCIOM national pollster and the National Agency for Qualification Development.

The respondents also confirmed a continued shortage of rare specialists such as well service operators.

When it comes to more popular skills, there is a serious shortage of engineers – a profession that was ridiculously unclaimed in the 1990s. Russia is also short of doctors, teachers and programmers, TASS reports.

Employers are also looking for professionals who are self-motivated, able to work in a team and engage in life-long learning.
