Banks continue to actively develop client interfaces. In the future, the banking sector will opt for advancing their customer-oriented approach, with banking services to be similar to the Yandex.Taxi service, Director of Geobank’s Department of Information Technology Alexander Bychkov said addressing CNews Forum 2018.
“The latest trend in the banking sector is a total transition to digital forms. We can already say that modern banks are a synthesis of classical banking and remote banking services. A major breakthrough has occurred in the internet. This trend will remain”, the expert noted.
The modern society, Bychkov says, consists of two groups – Generation X (those born after 1981), and Generation Z (those born after 1995). Young people are known to actively use new technologies.
“94% of members of Generation Y use gadgets, and 59% of them have laptops. 82% of young people who can be referred to as Generation Z have gadgets and 41% of them use laptops. Older groups are usually slower at starting to use the internet and prefer to receive services in traditional ways”, Bychkov said.
He added that active internet users have at least one banking app.
“Russia ranks first in Europe and sixth in the world as regards the number of internet users. In the past three years, the number of smartphones has doubled, with 60% of Russians having them. More and more people will use online banking products”, Bychkov concluded.
