Sberbank and the Russian Export Center (REC) have launched a joint acceleration programme to develop export competencies using the Bank of Business Partners online platform. Each participant of the accelerator will receive an export maturity rating and an individual action plan. Sberbank managers will act as navigators and assistants during the accelerator. Services will be provided directly by the REC and its authorised partners.
The programme includes a training module, consulting support, help finding overseas partners, logistics support and other services that are frequently used by exporters. It aims to give business representatives wide-ranging competencies in the area of international economic activity and create the conditions for seamless entry into international markets for potential exporters or companies that desire to expand their geography and range of products.
In September 2018, Sberbank and the REC signed a cooperation agreement at the Eastern Economic Forum to develop the export activity of Russian organisations.
“We place special focus on involving small and medium-sized enterprises in the export business. We have studied the best global practices and are now are launching our own accelerator projects. The first is a joint project with Sberbank. Acceleration programmes will help acquaint participants with all the challenging processes of international trade, assist them in finding business partners and entering into export contracts, and, most importantly, show Russian businesses that exporting goods and services is a reality. One of the REC’s key aims is to make the complex parts of export activity simple and accessible for businesses,” CEO of the REC Andrey Slepnev said.
