A new production facility manufacturing medium density fiberboard (MDF) has opened in the Altai Territory.
MDF is widely used in various construction types and in furniture-making. The product is eco-friendly because it is made of wood residue without cutting down live trees. The wood is broken down into wood fibers and then panels are formed in a pressing machine.
The new facility is located in the village of Pavlovsk in the Altai Territory. The project is being implemented by Altailes timber holding company. The total investment in the production was RUR 6 bln ($95 mio). The facility’s estimated capacity will be 250,000 cubic meters of MDF.
