The final day of the Eastern Economic Forum 2024, which ended on September 6, featured an extensive discussion on artificial intelligence and its impact on the media industry, according to the Higher School of Economics website.
Oleg Dmitriyev, Director of the Media Institute at the Creative Industries Department, Higher School of Economics, noted that thanks to AI, tasks that were previously performed by dozens of people, can now be accomplished by a few.
The key issues discussed at the EEF 2024 sessions included integration of digital technologies and AI-enabled solutions in the Far East, as well as ways to optimize logistics and draw on domestic resources and capabilities in the context of the ongoing import substitution. According to Stanislav Andreyev, CEO of SberMarketing, the participants focused on generating new ideas for the development of local industries and improving the overall potential of the region.
“They discussed the Far Eastern Federal District’s potential for the public gas supply system development, logistics and consumer goods distribution, as well as the domestic market at the federal level,” the expert explained. “For example, as many as two sessions were devoted to fish products, as they have strategic importance for the population and pose certain marketing challenges.”
