In January-February 2020, Azerbaijan produced agricultural products worth $387,894,296 (3.6% up compared to the same period in 2019), Azernews portal reports. The growth in livestock production amounted to 3.2%, while crop production increased by 12.7%. Production of meat increased by 2.9%, of milk by 1.6%, of eggs by 11.6%, of vegetables by 15.7%.
In 2019, agricultural production in Azerbaijan grew by 7.2%. Agriculture is the fastest growing non-oil sector in the Azerbaijani economy. The country is mostly self-sufficient in the production of agricultural products, while vegetables and fruits are produced in abundance.
