The Belgorod Region has completed the works outlined by the Safe and Quality Roads national project, aimed at developing the Russian road network.
Like in 2019, the works to repair the roads in the region planned for 2020 have been completed ahead of schedule.
As of now, 165 kilometers of roads and 90 facilities correspond to the standards and regulations related to the road network condition; 90 kilometers are roads of regional importance and 74 kilometers are roads of local importance.
As for financing works under the national project, the Belgorod Region managed to raise almost a half of the sum: the project required some RUR 1.9 bln ($27 mio), with RUR 1 bln being allocated from the federal budget.
