Sanitizer sales soar by 1,100% in Russia

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in extraordinary revenues for producers and sellers of antiseptic agents, according to a research by Taxcom.

Analysts report that in Russia during the pandemic, the sales of disinfectants, gloves and face masks grew exceptionally well. For example, during the period between March and June, the sales of disinfectants for cleaning surfaces grew by 1,100% compared to the same period last year. The prices on the products only increased by 2%, Russia Today reports.

Face mask sales also significantly increased during the pandemic, by 150% year-on-year. Gloves were slightly less in demand (63% increase).
