Britain’s Izurium Capital to invest in Tomsk

A working group chaired by Tomsk Region Deputy Governor for Industrial Policy Igor Shaturny discussed the implementation of a large project to build the Ilmenit mining and processing plant. The construction will begin in the second half of 2019; the first stage will be launched in the first half of 2021.

The total investment in the first stage is estimated at RUR 2 bln ($31 mio). Investors are Russia’s Rostec state corporation and Britain’s private fund Izurium Capital. The plant’s annual capacity might reach 575,000 tons of ore. It will develop the Tuganskoye ilmenite and zircon field.
