The Myanmar delegation arrived in Moscow to take part in the MCIS-2019 Moscow Conference on International Security. It also visited the Russian defense sector facilities and learned about their production.
According to Russia’s Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu, our country considers Myanmar a reliable ally and strategic partner in Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. “Now you have an objective impression of our capabilities,” Shoigu said at a meeting with Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces Min Aung Hlaing. “Russia-Myanmar cooperation in the military and military-industrial sectors is developing consistently.”
The Russian Minister of Defense also expressed confidence that the current talks will improve bilateral interaction at the level of defense ministries.
