
The average cost of a new car in Russia has increased by 12% in 2019. Now Russians have to spend RUR 1.5 mio ($23.2K) on average to buy a car.
The average price of a foreign car has gone up by 13% to around RUR 1.77 mio ($27.4K). Russia-produced cars are cheaper but their prices have also increased, if only slightly less, by 9%. A Russian car will cost around RUR 662K ($10.2K), Autostat agency reports.
Analytics reviewed average car prices recommended by car dealers and studied sales volumes for various car models and their modifications. Almost half a million new cars are available in the Russian market this year, which is only 1% less than in 2018, Kommersant reports.
