Serial production of the Russian unmanned combat aerial vehicle Okhotnik (Hunter) will start after 2024, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said. Currently, the vehicle is successfully undergoing tests, which will last for two or three years.
Okhotnik made its maiden flight on August 7 during the tests held together with the Sukhoi Su-30 multirole fighter. The drone is a flying wing aircraft made with the use of special materials and coatings that make it invisible to radar detection. Okhotnik is equipped with electro-optical, SIGINT and other surveillance gear.
