Russia has obtained a large number of coronavirus test kits thanks to which more cases of the infection are being confirmed among youth, according to Yevgeniya Selkova, Deputy Director of the Moscow Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.
She stressed that young people usually show very mild symptoms of COVID-19. Young people often go unchecked although they can be carriers of the virus, Vechernyaya Moskva reports.
Another reason why the number of young people infected with the coronavirus has increased is the fact that the virus is constantly mutating. It is targeting different victims while becoming less dangerous. Finally, the third reason is young people are less disciplined than the elderly and ignore recommendations more often.
