Domino’s Pizza to open 100 restaurants in Moscow

Domino’s Pizza, the world’s leader in pizza production and delivery, will open around 100 restaurants in Moscow within the next five years. Most of them are likely to be franchisees.

Domino’s Pizza Russia’s CEO Guvenc Donmez commented: “Our results in 2018 were excellent. Compared to 2017, Domino’s Pizza Russia increased sales by 49% from RUR 3.3 bln ($50.6 mio) to RUR 4,9 bln ($75.1 mio). We expanded the Domino’s Pizza Russia chain by 58 restaurants. After analyzing our results, we decided that we have a great potential to expand both in Moscow and in the regions. The potential is particularly big in Moscow. We can add 100 more restaurants, most of which will open under a franchise.”

The company operates in 12 Russian cities while its franchising chain accounted for 44% (78 restaurants) of the total number of restaurants in Russia as of the end of December 2018. The company achieved these results from scratch over two years. One of Domino’s competitive advantages is the guarantee that pizza will be delivered in 30 minutes otherwise the customer does not have to pay.
