On May 22-24, the Ulyanovsk Region hosted the All Renewable World Energy 2019 international forum.
During the ARWE, the Ulyanovsk Regional Ministry of Energy Housing, Utilities and Urban Environment, the Agency for Technology Development and Eclareon GmbH signed a memorandum of cooperation in solar energy development. Currently, Eclareon is involved in ENABLING PV Russia, a project to increase the potential of using solar energy, which is supported by the funding from the German Government. Under this project, the company will conduct an analysis of the existing investment structure in two selected Russian regions for construction and operation of photoelectric stations. Signing of the memorandum will include the Ulyanovsk Region in the list of the pilot regions for the research into the potential use of solar energy in its territory. The memorandum will also expand business cooperation with German companies in the area of alternative energy.
The ARWE 2019 brought together over 900 representatives of government bodies, energy companies and expert communities from 14 countries. The event was organized by the Ulyanovsk Regional Government, the Russian Association of Wind Power Industry and Elektrifikatsiya, with the support of the Russian Energy Ministry, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Roscongress Foundation and ULNANOTECH.
