Economic Development Ministry to assess export barriers by fall

Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development is working to create a register of barriers and restrictions that exist in Russian services’ export area, director of the ministry’s Department of Development and Regulation of Foreign Economic Activity Liliya Shchur-Trukhanovich said at an expanded meeting with representatives of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry abroad.

“We are not yet ready to present the project, but it will be finalized and presented to the public within one or two months until the end of the summer”, Shchur-Trukhanovich said in her comment to Invest Foresight.

She added that the register will be made as a scope of regulation issues by individual countries and their ‘diagnostic assessment.’

In addition, the ministry developed a service exports strategy that has been introduced to the Government and ‘is to be signed soon’, according to Shchur-Trukhanovich.
