Financiers and insurers are the happy receivers of the largest salaries in Russia, according to a report for 2019 prepared by the Federal Service for State Statistics (Rosstat).
The average monthly salary of Russian insurers and financial experts is almost RUR 103K ($1.4K). They are followed by experts engaged in mineral resources extraction with a monthly salary of RUR 89K ($1.2K).
Software developers also have decent salaries of RUR 74K. Civil servants receive some RUR 51K per month, according to Russia Today.
The lowest-paid workers are those employed by cafes and hotels, with some RUR 28K ($374) per month.
