The railcar repair plant in Prokopyevsk in West Siberia’s Kemerovo Region has raised RUR 1 bln ($13.3 mio) in investment.
The amount will be spent on business development and will induce a major leap forward. The facility’s expansion should improve the economic as well as social situation both in Prokopyevsk and in the wider region.
The launch of its second production line will immediately create 700 additional jobs. Furthermore, the plant’s development through wise investment has already earned it the status as the largest enterprise in Russia that repairs rolling stock and its capacity has grown to 30,000 cars per year.
