The fourth MC-21-300 experimental aircraft has made its maiden flight at the airfield of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, part of the Irkut Corporation. The plane flew for 1 hour and 40 minutes at an altitude of 3K meters at a speed of almost 500 km/h.
The MC-21-300 with a comfortable passenger cabin was presented at the MAKS 2019 International Air Show and was praised by experts.
The MC-21-300 is supposed to become the flagship product of the Russian civil aircraft manufacturing: in the next 20 years, Russian airlines will require up to 1K planes in this segment; some 30K such planes will be in demand all over the world.
