Incomes of Russian billionaires are growing sharply

Russia has the fastest-growing number of dollar billionaires in the world. By 2027, the Russian Federation is likely to rank fourth by their number after China, India and the United States.

Analysts from AfrAsia Bank Global have conducted a survey concluding that by 2027, there will be 63 dollar billionaires in Russia. The only four countries that will have more super-rich people by that time are China (448), India (238) and the US (147). Russia will be followed by Australia with only 25 billionaires, writes Ura.ru. Hong Kong will have even fewer billionaires, 22; Canada and South Korea, 13 each; Switzerland, 12; and Japan, 11.

Over the past decade, the number of billionaires in the world has doubled: there are 2,208 such people worldwide. In addition, analysts have noted a sharp increase in the income gap between the poor and the rich. It is interesting that in France and Sweden, the billionaires’ fortunes are decreasing, but in Russia, on the contrary, they are growing.

The list of 500 richest people in the world, according to Bloomberg, includes 25 Russians.
