The Irkutsk Region will implement two investment projects for a total of RUR 80 bln ($1.6 bln).
Participants in a meeting of the investment council chaired by the Irkutsk Region governor have approved two investment projects.
The first project, initiated by RUSAL, will help the aluminum plant in Taishet launch the production of both primary aluminum and its alloys. To that end, a first production facility with an annual capacity of 429 tons will be built.
The second project is related to a precious metal: gold. A mining and processing complex will be built at the Svetlovskoye deposit. The complex is expected to produce over 3 tons of gold per year.
