President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has offered advice on fighting the coronavirus epidemic taking over our countries.
He recommended washing hands frequently and having breakfast and dinner at usual times. The president believes that it is possible to kill the virus with vodka. Alexander Lukashenko also advised his citizens to go to sauna two or three times a week.
Leader of the Russian Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinovsky was not particularly fond of this advice, RIA Novosti reports. The politician called for a less outdated approach. Lukashenko’s methods were relevant very long time ago when rural residents had no access to medication and had only steam and vodka to rely on. People still died. Therefore, the leader of the Russian party recommended choosing medication before anything else.
So far, the World Health Organization (WHO) has only recommended treating SARS-CoV-2 with paracetamol. WHO experts found it is better to refrain from taking drugs containing ibuprofen because currently its effects on the coronavirus are under-researched.
