A tour-guide robot, the first in the Caucasus, is now operating in Derbent, Daghestan . The robot’s name is Mamed; it was manufactured in Perm.
The robot holds guided tours for the visitors of the Naryn-Kala fortress in the Russian, English and Turkish languages. Mamed also has access to the internet where it constantly searchers for new knowledge. It can also recognize visitors and even dance, Izvestia daily writes.
According to the video presentation of the robot, Mamed is an ordinary Promobot. It has a holographic face and can move around and shake hands with visitors.
