Market demand for attack and multi-purpose helicopters

Rosoboronexport weaponry exporter and a member of Rostec State Corporation, is expecting an interest in Russia’s military helicopters to spike in the wake of the HeliRussia 2019 International Helicopter Industry Exhibition in Moscow, company’s website reports, and cites Alexander Mikheev, Rosoboronexport CEO, as saying, “We are facing a growing demand for attack helicopters in the helicopter market on a global scale. Rosoboronexport responded to this in a timely manner, figured out its major parameters and now offers to the customers the most advanced designs tested in combat, Ka-52 and Mi-28NE. Besides, the dynamic is on the rise in the utility sector, where we have the Ansat and Ka-226T to offer. For production of the latter we have set up a joint venture with India’s HAL.”

At HeliRussia, Rosoboronexport showcases Russian-made helicopters suitable for any task regardless of weather conditions, as well as UAV systems. Exhibits of high export potential include attack and utility helicopters, combat-transport, military transport and transport Mi-35P, Mi-35M, Mi-17V-5, Mi-171Sh, and Mi-26T2.
