According to the Russian Minister of Labor and Social Protection Maxim Topilin, Russians will get richer in the new year, with their real wages growing by 2.3%.

This will concern both private companies and the public sector. The salaries of some categories of public sector workers mentioned in the 2012 presidential executive orders will equal the average salary in the region. If the average salary is growing, the incomes of public sector workers will grow as well, Maxim Topilin told Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper.

Other state-paid workers, such as lawyers, accountants and others, will also receive higher wages: they will be inflation-adjusted by 3% starting October 1, 2020.
