The Iskander missile crews held a tactical special training in the Republic of Buryatia in Russia’s Eastern Military District, Defense Ministry’s website reports. As it notes, during the practical part of the exercise, the servicemen were alerted for a training and made a march to an unfamiliar area.
According to the publication, “The exercise was intended to practice repelling an attack by sabotage and reconnaissance groups and to cross contaminated areas. The crews also practiced setting missile complexes from the traveling mode to the combat position, missile transfer from the transport-charging vehicle to the launcher, camouflage and organization of security and defense positions.”
