Motrex KLD, funded by South Korea’s Motrex and engaged in manufacturing car parts, has become resident of the Kaliningrad Region special economic zone. The company plans to invest RUR 50 mio ($778K) in manufacturing navigation systems for cars in which Yandex software is used, and in producing car air conditioning systems.
At the moment, there are over 200 active investment projects in the integrated register of the special economic zone residents with a total of RUR 124 bln ($2 bln) of committed investments in the first three years and a payroll of 32,800 people (upon reaching the project capacity).
