NLMK logistics hub opens in Lipetsk Region

One of the largest Russian logistics facilities has been built in the Lipetsk Region.

The project was implemented by Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK), because the steel conglomerate needed a new logistics complex.

With its impressive parameters, the new facility can actually be viewed as one of the largest hubs in its kind in Russia.

It takes up an area of some 30K square meters and can store up to 70K metric tons of the company’s products in its warehouses. Up to 1 mio tons of products will be shipped by motor transport every year, including the entire range of rolled products produced by the smelter.

The cost of the project was also considerable – investment in the new hub totaled RUR 2 bln ($28 mio).
