President Vladimir Putin will review recommendations regarding gradual lifting of the lockdown in the country. The proposals were developed by the Government and the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection.

The proposals will be presented at a meeting on implementation of the earlier decisions concerning measures against the spread of the coronavirus. The self-isolation in Russia was extended through May 11.

Vladimir Putin previously instructed the Government and the consumer rights regulator to prepare recommendations on gradual lifting of the lockdown restrictions and submit them by May 5.

Putin will also hear reports on support measures for the public during the pandemic, RIA Novosti reports.

Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov earlier announced that it will be impossible to cancel the entire package of restrictions in a single step. He noted that some of the restrictions will be maintained.
