Russia may begin exporting Armata tanks

Russia may begin exporting its next-generation T-14 Armata tanks after they have been delivered to the Russian Army. The development of the export modification has just begun; there will be no similar tanks manufactured in foreign countries in the next few years.

The Armata is the world’s first tank that can be used in network-centric operations; it can serve as a reconnaissance vehicle and also perform target detection and fire adjustment for self-propelled guns, anti-aircraft missile systems and T-90 tanks from its tactical detail.

A preproduction batch of 20 tanks was manufactured in 2015.
