Russia to spend millions on debunking fake information about Great Patriotic War

The Russian Finance Ministry plans to allocate money to counteract fake information about the Great Patriotic War. The exact sum has not been announced yet, but according to some sources, it would be millions of rubles.

According to head of the Fatherland History Foundation Konstantin Mogilevsky, millions of rubles may be allocated at the instruction of President Vladimir Putin for the counteraction of fake stories.

The foundation will publish archival documents and promptly respond to any attempt to distort the history of the Second World War, Izvestia daily writes.
