In the next three years, Russian Aerospace Forces will be equipped with 30 new Ka-52 Alligator helicopters, Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko said during a working trip to the Far Eastern Primorye Territory.

The state contract is being fulfilled by the Progress plant in Arsentyev. Of the 30 helicopters ordered, eight are to be delivered before the end of 2019, he said, adding that a modernized Ka-52M version will be developed by 2022.

The revamped version will take into account the Syrian experience, which will significantly upgrade the Ka-52 performance.
