In 2018, builders received the country’s highest average monthly salary, while scientists and teachers were the lowest paid, a survey by the Avito.Job website team says.
In 2018, a builder’s average monthly salary was RUR 47K ($707). Education and science workers received much less: only RUR 25K ($377), RIA Novosti news agency reports. The salaries of fitness trainers and beauty parlor workers saw the highest increase: they grew by 9.4% and reached RUR 45K, while the salaries of insurance workers dropped by 5.6% to just RUR 32K.
Experts at Avito.Job also found out that the most in-demand jobs on the labor market are related to sales. In all, salaries saw a minor growth in 2018 – by 5.6% – especially considering the inflation rate.
The survey comprises data from 23 large Russian cities. Togliatti has the lowest average monthly salary: RUR 28K, while Moscow has the highest average salary of RUR 51K. At the same time, salaries in Moscow have the lowest growth rate: only 2.2% per year.
