Russian-Chinese IT products expand to international market

Thanks to the assistance of the Sverdlovsk Regional Government and the Chinese Consulate General in Yekaterinburg, NAG telecommunications holding (Russia) signed an agreement of intent to expand its cooperation with a major Chinese IT company, Digital China, which is also a developer of the Smart City project in Shenzhen.

The agreement concerns cooperation in cloud-based business operations and digitalization of various sectors of the economy, development of new products in the areas of data transmission networks, data centers, voice communications, the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence – the technologies used, among other, in smart cities. The parties plan to significantly expand their presence in the Russian and international markets and, within the next three years, commercialize jointly developed communication products and services worth at least RUR 8 bio ($123.6 mio).

One of the first steps towards implementation of the agreement will be establishment of a research center in the Sverdlovsk Region that will focus on attracting innovative digitalization solutions to Russia.
