Russian Navy to receive more than 180 new ships

The Russian Navy will receive over 180 vessels by 2027, Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu said at a meeting of the ministry board.

To that end, new bases for military vessels will be built and the existing ones reconstructed, including the one in Kaspiysk for the Caspian fleet. A project to renovate quays will also be launched.

In 2019, the fleet will receive 15 ships and first attack crafts, as well as 20 service vessels.
