Russian oil company expands into German airports

Rosneft Deutschland GmbH (registered in Germany in 2017), a subsidiary of Russia’s Rosneft oil company (which holds stakes in three German refineries) and the third-largest player on the local refining market with 12% of all refining capacity, has launched its into-plane fuelling service in the airport of Stuttgart, corporate website reports.

Jet fuel sales in Germany are part of Rosneft’s long-term development strategy for this business and its jet fuel supply expansion across Germany.

Since 2019, Rosneft Deutschland has negotiated a range of contracts for the sale of in-house jet fuel. In particular, an agreement was signed with Aeroflot for aircraft re-fuelling in the Berlin Schönefeld Airport. Now Rosneft Deutschland re-fuels each third scheduled passenger flight departing from Berlin and intends to further boost the production and marketing volumes of jet fuel both in Germany and in the entire Europe.

As a leading supplier of jet fuel on the Russian market, Rosneft is expanding its international network to include airports in Mongolia, Georgia, Germany, China, Spain, and United Arab Emirates and currently provides into-plane fuelling services at 45 Russian and foreign airports.
