Russian-Uzbekistani trade to reach $10 bln

Speaking of the Russian-Uzbekistani relations, Viacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma (Russia’s lower House of Parliament), named drug trafficking, terrorism, and migration problems the common challenges uniting the countries, parliamentary website reports.

“In 2018 bilateral trade grew by 21.2% and reached $4.4 bln, yet the goal is to achieve $10 bln,” he pointed out. “Russia is the biggest investor in Uzbekistan, and second-largest after China in terms of turnover, lagging behind by merely 2%.”
