Russians do not want to be given souvenirs, soft toys and soap as their New Year gifts, according to a survey by Hi-Tech Mail.ru.
Their least favorite gifts also include calendars, cosmetics, massage mats, the declining Bitcoins and towels. Respondents also shared which household appliances they would not like to receive as a gift – the unwanted equipment includes electronic razors, game consoles, music speakers and e-readers. The latter is probably not popular because most people have one.
Another gadget gift Russians do not want is a navigator – most likely because mobile apps are much more convenient. Also, most Russians said that they take into account the friend’s or family member’s wishes when choosing their gifts, RBC writes.
